Daniel Absher, 42, of Chattanooga, Tenn. passed away peacefully in his sleep on March 15. He had suffered a stroke two years ago.

Daniel graduated from Oak Ridge High School in 1989. He was an avid rower for the Oak Ridge Rowing Association and trained with the Junior National Team in 1988. He rowed crew at Northeastern University in Boston and the University of Tennessee, Chattanooga.

Daniel is survived by his son, Carter Absher; mother, Lorena Patten; father, Richard Absher; siblings, Bryan Absher, Betsy Popeck, and Lynne Chesnutt Absher; fiancee, Mireia Kozarcacin; and several nieces, nephews, and in-laws.
